Mr Foodie makes these blue corn tortillas all the time for the many tacos we eat… This recipe makes 4 tortillas.
Ingredients:
- 100 grams masa
- 130 ml cold water
- 6 grinds of salt
Method:
- add water to mass and knead for 5 mins
- roll into ball and let rest 10 mins
- divide dough into 4 balls
- line tortilla press with plastic wrap and press 1 ball into a flat disc
- place in pre-heated pan (medium-high)
- cook for 40 seconds and flip
- cook for another 40 seconds and flip
- press firmly in middle so that the tortilla puffs up
- cook for another 40 seconds
- remove from pan and wrap in a clean tea towel
