Postcards from America part I: Chicago, Illinois

Dear foodies,

On our first night in Chicago we ate the best tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa ever from Rick Bayless’ Mexican restaurant Xoco.

Next day, we did the infamous deep-dish pizza from Lou Malnati’s (or Lou McNaughty’s, as I like to call him – because any man known for his buttery crust sounds a little McNaughty to me…)

And for dinner, sushi from the delicious Coast.

Next stop, Kentucky – wish you were here!

Yours, Amsterdam Foodie

Restaurant of the month!

I’m from Kentucky! Have fun!

Thanks, we’re having a great time there!

You picked two great restaurants in Chicago, but there were so many more from which to choose. You need to spend at least two weeks in Chicago!I’m happy that you are enjoying yourself in Chicago.

I know – I’ll have to come back some day!
