So, we’re 2300 metres above sea level (in Val Thorens – officially the highest ski resort in Europe) and the temperature’s around -10 degrees centigrade. And STILL the French manage to lay on a market twice a week, stuffed full of Savoyard goodies. Just had to share…

ha! just brought a couple of mont d’ors and saucissons back from savoie myself ;)
(my stuff was bought near les gets (les portes du soleil), on the other side of the alps, but it is as cheesy and stinky as yours, I should imagine.)

Ahhh the gorgeous Mont d’Or… and possibly cheesier and stinkier since Portes du Soleil is much lower than Val Thorens and therefore considerably warmer!
