November: Cold Comfort

I can see my breath in the mornings as I cycle to work, getting a wet bum from my rain-soaked saddle. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to stick to my lunchtime salad regime, as my body craves carbs to warm me up for winter.

So for this month’s seasonal ingredients, I’ve chosen chestnuts: sweet and pulpy, filling and chill-beating. The perfect comfort food for cold evenings.
