Cafe Bern is located in Nieuwmarkt, an area you do not want to miss while in Amsterdam. Cafe Bern fondue is fun and yummy and the beef dishes are tender. Cafe Bern is worth a second visit, which will be this week!

We went to Bern this week, after hearing good things about the quality and reasonable cost. Sadly, we were disappointed. I can’t say anything negative about the fondue, as we found it to be flavourful and simple (which is always good in my book). However, price wise, would not use the term reasonable. We ordered fondue (for two), two green salads and were presented with a €60 bill. Took the pleasure right out of the debauchery of luscious fondue.

I visited Amsterdam a week ago and went to Cafe Bern. It was really good! The cheese fondue was delightful! I don’t eat beef, but the meat fondue was cooked in a pesto sauce which looked fabulous. We had 5 people and ordered 2 cheese and 3 meat and all were satisfied. Thanks for the tip!
